My own creation

Saturday

  • Saturday (English)
  • Samstag vagy Sonnabend (German)
  • Zaterdag (Dutch)
  • lördag (Swedish)
In Scandinavian countries Saturday is called: Lördag or Laurdag. The name of this day spring from bath. Lördag is bath-day. This mean Vikings practised the bath (and wash) in Saturday.
Saturday has two names in german speaking country:

  • Samstag in Austria, Liechtenstein, german speaking part of Switzerland, southern and western Germany
  • Sonnabend in northern and western part of Germany
In hungarian language the word, szombat (Saturday) spring from hebrew "sabbath" or from slavic word, "sobota".

Frigga's Day

Today is Frigga's day (some source says: Freya's day).
German languages kept the memories of goddesses and gods. Friday too:

  • Friday (English)
  • fridag (Danish, Norwegian, Swedish)
  • Freitag (German)
  • vrijdag (Dutch)

In the hungarian language word Friday is: péntek. It is a loanword from slavic languages. 'Péntek' means: 5th. The reason is probably that friday is the 5th day in a week.

Frigg ( Frigga) is a major goddess in Norse paganism. She is said to be the wife of Odin, and is the "foremost among the goddesses" and the queen of Asgard. Frigg appears primarily as a wife and a mother. She is also described as having the power of prophecy yet she does not reveal what she knows. Frigg is described as the only one other than Odin who is permitted to sit on his high seat Hlidskjalf and look out over the universe. The English term Friday derives from the Anglo-Saxon name for Frigg, Frige.
